GMB are excited to announce that the first ever GMB Northern Young Member’s Conference - Youth for the Greater Good, which will take place on November 11th, 2011 @ St James’ Park, Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
All GMB members under the age of 30 have the chance to attend this conference. The aim of the Conference is both to offer a constructive response by young people to the recent social turmoil in England and to advance our on-going agenda to increase the opportunities for young people to become directly active in our union.
There are some excellent speakers and there will be many opportunities for members to contribute directly to proceedings with Q&A sessions, group discussions around campaign skills and workplace issues and a dedicated session focused on helping young people to progress both at work and in the GMB.
